“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”-Forest Witcraft
Children’s Medical Fund of New York
I have a special connection with CMF of New York. My son was born 10 weeks pre-mature at Long Island Jewish Hospital. He was immediately transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit of Schneider Children’s Hospital for 7 weeks (now Cohen Children's Medical Center). Having to leave our newborn son in the hospital for such a long time was extremely difficult at best. During such a period of uncertainty and worry, we felt a sense of security that our son was in their trusted hands. Everything they did for him and for us was unforgettable. Schneider Children’s Hospital was truly amazing. It was a joyful yet extremely difficult and stressful time in our lives, and Schneider’s made the whole experience the best that could possibly be until our son was able to come home. We are forever indebted to them.
CMF funds Cohen Children's Medical Center with programs like “Child Life Endowment Program” which gives a child a better quality of life during their stay at the Hospital with clowns, safe rooms, events, parties and such. CMF was successful in raising money to help build a children’s only emergency room. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping children and their families in their greatest time of need. Join the CMF family today. You can help make a child healthier and happier.
